As evening approaches, this is an opportunity to explore writing outdoors with New Forest Writer in Residence Yarrow Townsend.
We'll be taking our inspiration from the world of birds, who are busy in May and should be active as we approach dusk. Bring along your notebooks or sketchbooks (drawing and scribbling encouraged) - author Yarrow Townsend will guide you through some beginner-friendly activities to find your creativity and soak up the evening atmosphere.
This event will run for one hour and is aimed at adults, but keen young people can attend accompanied by a grown up. This event will run at 7.30 as part of Sholing Valleys DARK SIDE event - why not join the moth trapping session or bat walk afterwards with your notebook for more inspiration!
This is a free to access event, kindly supported by Sholing Valleys LNR. We are strictly limited to 10 places so please reserve yourself a ticket.
In the event of really wet weather we'll have to cancel - please dress for the outdoors. This is an LGBTQIA+ & Neurodivergent and disability-inclusive space. The aim is to explore some wilder portions of the reserve where the ground may be uneven - if this would be a barrier to you, please get in touch and we can adjust the route.
