Caitlin Paul, Network Duty and Development Solicitor, CLAO

The Civil Legal Assistance Office "CLAO" is a network of four offices in Scotland that helps people with specific civil legal problems. The offices cover Edinburgh and Lothian, Highlands and Islands, Argyll and Bute, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Caitlin Paul has recently moved into a new permanent role as Network Duty and Development Solicitor at the Civil Legal Assistance Office, one of the three branches of the Client Legal Services Directorate at the Scottish Legal Aid Board (“SLAB”). She joined CLAO in July 2021 as a Civil Casework Solicitor, working primarily in housing and homelessness law. She qualified as a Solicitor in August 2020 following her legal traineeship at Balfour & Manson LLP, and then worked as a newly qualified Solicitor at Millard Law, a small high street legal aid firm, practising mainly in family and child law. She completed her LLB Undergraduate degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Glasgow University.
