Overview

Two day online Workshop 20th and 21st May 2026. Improve your knowledge and skills in using neuroimaging for dementia research

Deep Dementia Phenotyping (DEMON) Network Early Career Workshop: Using and Combining Imaging Derived Phenotypes for Dementia

1pm-6pm GMT 20th and 21st May 2026

Do you want to improve your knowledge and skill of using neuroimaging to understand dementia? This workshop is for researchers wanting to improve their skills in using and understanding neuroimaging in dementia. It will cover a wide range of structural, functional, and vascular imaging phenotypes, and how to combine them together and with other biomarkers. We will talk about applying image derived phenotypes to understand disease mechanisms, to develop biomarkers, and for clinical use. You will come away from the workshop with new skills and enthusiasm to use neuroimaging to improve your research. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Fidel Alfaro-Almagro, University of Oxford
  • Liju An, Lund University
  • Gaurav Bhalerao, University of Oxford
  • James Cole, UCL
  • Angelina Kancheva, University of Glasgow
  • Audrey Low, Mayo Clinic
  • Tom Nichols, University of Oxford
  • Enrico Premi, Università degli Studi di Brescia
  • Tim Rittman, University of Cambridge
  • Gabriel Ziegler, Freie Universität Berlin
