‘Buddha taught many different methods to purify non-virtuous actions, downfalls and broken commitments but the supreme method is the practice of meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva. This practice is the scientific method to purify our mind and to transform our mind from an impure mind into a pure mind using Tantric technology.’
Over two days, participants will engage in the Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva sadhana, by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. You may purchase the hardcopy or e‑book via the provided link.
Buddha Vajrasattva is the Buddha of Purification. By relying on him and reciting his mantra we can cleanse negative karma, purify our mind, and prevent future suffering.
We will learn and practice the Four Opponent Powers, Regret, Reliance, Opponent Force, and Promise, which make purification complete. Understanding karma allows us to approach this practice with joy and confidence.
This retreat is an ideal introduction for those new to purification, and a valuable opportunity for everyone to deepen their experience. Each session will include brief teachings and guided meditation to become familiar with the practice. For best results, we recommend attending all sessions.
Suitable for those with previous experience of our classes and retreats. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs and meditation cushions. Bring your own mat and cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor.
