Tune in to the first Alumni in Conversation event run by the V&A\RCA History of Design Alumni Network. We will hear from Guglielmo Rossi (MA 2018) and Zarna Hart (MA 2023), two graphic design academics and historians of radical archives. Guglielmo also runs a design studio for publishers, and Zarna runs a sales platform for global majority artists. It will be fascinating to hear how the course has shaped their experiences of design practice and research, as well as how their work has since evolved into unique interdisciplinary careers.
Zarna Hart is a curator, designer, and educator whose practice explores design theories and practices through an anti-colonial lens, with a focus on archival methods within postcolonial contexts. Her award-winning research Not All Trunks Float investigates the intersection of print and oral histories within the Caribbean, earning recognition from the Design History Society, the Royal College of Art and the V&A. She currently lectures at Kingston University, University of the Arts London, and University for the Creative Arts.
Guglielmo Rossi is a designer, educator and researcher. His teaching and design practice are inspired by everyday culture and his research interests meet at the intersection of politics and print. Guglielmo is a Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design at the University of Greenwich, where he leads the BA in Graphic and Digital Design. He runs a graphic design practice called Bandiera, and previously taught at the University of the Arts, Brunel University and the University of East London.
