Professor Lucy Noakes
A historian and author Professor Noakes is releasing her new social history of how Briton's felt about and celebrated VE Day, utilising the rich Mass Observation archives, in May.
Professor David Fergusson
Professor Fergusson is the Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge. He serves as Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland and Dean of the Order of the Thistle. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2004) and a Fellow of the British Academy (2013)
Explore our Historic Venue
Our special event takes place in the Drill Hall at London Scottish House. Guests will be able to explore the permanent London Scottish Regimental Museum exhibits as well as a pop-up exhibiiton on VE Day.
Built in 1988 London Scottish House is the last purpose built drill hall in the UK. it is the home of former London Scottish Regiment, and is now a military scottish heritage centre based in central London. At the heart of the building is the Grade II listed Victorian Drill Hall where this event takes place.
