#VerifyLocal Alpha Showcase: Leeds
Due to the election, we have had to cancel showcase so as not to influence the outcome of the election in any way. We will return to 'working out loud' via the Local Digital Coalition website after the election.
In October 2016 GDS started working on two collaborative local authority pilots to transform residential parking permit and older people’s concessionary travel services using Verify. This is our 2nd progress update and feedback workshop for all local authorities who need to keep track of these pilots and other GDS products.
This is the first of two Alpha showcase events (the other will take place in London). After feedback from our discovery showcase, we're extending it to be a full day. Registration and networking will begin at 9.30am, with the event starting at 10am.
The event will:
-
provide a brief history of #VerifyLocal and the approach taken in offering Verify to local authorities across the country.
-
share the products we've delivered during the alpha phase of #VerifyLocal work - from prototypes to user research, and technical patterns to business case findings.
-
discuss your transformation priorities through 'unconference' sessions.
-
share case studies from our partner councils to learn from their experience of using Verify.
-
showcase other GDS services that could be of use to Local Authorities - like Registers, Notify and Digital Marketplace.
The event will be a great opportunity to hear from council pilot participants themselves about their experience so far, hear about other work GDS is doing, and have a chat with like-minded people about service transformation and identity assurance in local government.
Who should come: This event is for council staff and their invited IT suppliers only
-
Local authority heads of service, digital, web, IT, business development / transformation staff or councilors.
-
Representative bodies and public sector organisations supporting local service transformation.
-
Business development staff at companies currently delivering digital services to local authorities.
