Vertical Horizons

Our approach is to create collaborative theatre, with our casts and guest creatives as much a driving force in each production as company members.Originally formed by alumni of the Old Vic Community Company, Waste Not Theatre encourages its members to work outside their comfort zone and become multi-skilled theatre makers. The company has gone on to produce several sell-out shows, with new work in continuous development.We work with new writers, directors and actors across theatrical genres and welcome all levels of experience, but with exacting standards of quality if you've got the talent, don’t waste it.

The Building Centre opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 7 September 1932 with ideas, innovation, and education central to its ambitions. Now it hosts theatre for the first time in Waste Not Theatre’s presentation of seven short new plays that revel in the intricacies and absurdities of life. Embark on a journey through the Building Centre’s exhibits to discover stories both trivial and of life and death. With regeneration and property transforming our city, where does this leave its residents, and what could it mean for our not-so-distant future?As a promenade production, these performances require the audience to walk and stand around the building. Limited seating will be provided.
