Vibe Coding Workshop for Non-Developers: Build Your Own App

Vibe Coding Workshop for Non-Developers: Build Your Own App

BHASVICEast Sussex, England
Saturday, May 23 from 10 am to 5 pm
Overview

One day vibe coding workshop, led by two software developers

Have you always had app ideas but never the coding skills to build one?

Then along comes magical AI. You ask ChatGPT to “build me a dog walker app” and instead of becoming a tech founder by lunch, you get something that looks like an app but it doesn't work and you have no idea why.

That is because the current state of AI is this: it is genuinely very impressive at coding, but if you have no coding knowledge at all, it is also very easy to get completely lost.

Join two experienced, award-winning developers for a one-day workshop where you will use AI tools to build a web app.

We will be using what is called a vibe coding approach to making apps.

What is vibe coding?

No, it is not coding using cosmic vibes.

Vibe coding is a way of building apps by having conversations with an AI agent, who writes the code. Developers have started using it to test ideas quickly, and get working prototypes off the ground.

How is this going to work?

Before the workshop, we will talk with you about your app idea and set a clear goal for the day.

Whether your app can be finished in one workshop really depends on your idea which can range from “a simple to-do app” to “Uber but for space travel”.

Because the group will be very small, you will get lots of individual support and feedback throughout the session.

You will need to subscribe to Claude Code ($100/month) to make sure you have AI usage that will last for the day and afterwards.

Who are the tutors?

Robin and Vaiga are developers with 11 years of experience, who have built web apps for organisations such as The Guardian, Eurostar and the British Council.

Last year they vibe coded an app that won an award at the world’s largest hackathon, which had over 100,000 participants. The app, Table Read Studio, won for being the most uniquely useful tool.
