Vibe the Wave with Maddie & Grace

Maddie and Grace are part of the Vibe the Wave team who have just completed the ‘World’s Toughest Row’ – rowing 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua.

“Rowing the Atlantic required a combination of a set of skills that I didn’t have when I said yes – I couldn’t row, I’ve never sailed solo, I’d never navigated at sea, let alone at night and I didn’t know my two crewmates!”

"We were facing waves up to 15m high within days of starting the race. This was much easier to navigate during the day but was quite challenging at night where there were no moon or stars to help you see the oncoming waves."
