A guided tour of Vindolanda an important Roman archaeological site at Hadrian's Wall

The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre

The Vindolanda Guided Tour will explore the buildings on the site (such as the Bath House) against the wider context of the culture and history of Roman Britain. You will have time to look around the site at your leisure too. T﻿here is a car park on site and some scattered outside benches to sit and have your lunch.P﻿lease note that you will be required to purchase your own entrance tickets either on the day at a cost of £12.50 or the Saver Rate is £16.00. If you purchase a ticket online in advance it is cheaper.* Saver rate includes admission to the Roman Army Museum and is valid for 12 months is £16.00Y﻿ou will need to make your own way to Vindolanda which is approx 1.25 miles away from the Sill. There maybe a coach that can drop you at Vindolanda and bring you back to the Sill. (Please email thewall@u3a.org.uk if you require transport)T﻿he guided tour is for u3a members that have registered to attend the Off the Wall day.
