CONTENT

Suitable for confident beginners upwards, this is a stylish and roomy tote bag, available in two sizes. Carry by hand or sling over your shoulder. This style would suit lovely vintage fabrics like linen curtains but would also look great in modern designs.

What we will provide:

Zip and magnetic closure

Strap and hardware

Basic sewing kit (unless you bring your own)

Tea/Coffee and biscuits

What you will need to bring:

We would prefer you to bring your own sewing machine but if this is not possible we do have a range of machines you can hire for £5 on the day.

Fabric for your bag, and for the lining. The outer bag can be most types of fabric, from cotton, to tweed, to denim, to light upholstery fabric such as curtains. The lining should be light cotton or polycotton.

You will need 3/4 m for the outer and 3/4m for the lining.

Alternatively there is plenty of suitable fabric available to buy at The Blue House, for a cost of £11.25 upwards (depending on the fabric).
