VIP Framework Evening
A unique opportunity for you to try your hand at Framework Knitting - guided by our specialist framework team.
For the start of our new season, the Framework Knitters Museum is now offering a unique opportunity for people to try their hand at framework knitting. Guided by our specialist framework team, you can now sit at one of our historic frames and have a go at this endangered craft, discovering both the delights and challenges of the stocking frame. Participants will also learn more about lace making, as well as discovering the hidden treasures of our workshop.
This whole experience is a one-off opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and take part in activities and visit spaces not available to the public.
Spaces are strictly limited and so do please book early.
Cost per person is £35, which includes food and refreshments upon arrival at 6.30pm. Frame shop activities will begin from 7pm. Food will be a buffet including grazing platters and a charcuterie board. Soft drinks and tea/coffee will be available as part of the workshop cost. Alcoholic drinks are not included and need to be paid for separately on the night.
Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately for working on a frame as it does require some physical activity. Although based indoors, please be mindful of milder evening weather.
For any enquiries regarding this event please contact the Museum at office@frameworkknittersmuseum.org.uk
