Hack4Good MBAS is a virtually run global Hackathon that will combine the amazing Microsoft community members from all over the world to create solutions that could assist organisations in various ways.At the moment we are facing a sever global crisis caused by the COVID19 virus. We are all being forced into some unfamiliar territory where our comfort zone, economy and state of mind is being tested.Within the Microsoft community, we are in an awesome position and could really help a number of organisations in these troubled times. Lets put our heads together to try and come up with some epic solutions to assist in dealing with the repercussions of COVID19.THE FORMATWe will be running this event on a global scale and because of this we have split this into 4 Time zone intervals so that we can be as inclusive as possible. These will posted in due course. This will be a GLOBAL 24 HOUR HACKATHON.AMER : PST (GMT -7)EMEA : BST (GMT +1)APAC : IST (GMT +5.5)APAC: AEST (GMT+10)The hack will take place on Saturday the 2nd of May and we will be kicking off with the US first. The Hack will be launched with a 2 Hr session run by presenters. Then participants will be given exactly 24 hours to finalise their solution and submit it to the solution bank.We have said that this is 24 hours because not everyone can take 8 hours straight out of their day to build stuff. If you have 24 hours there is less pressure to be in front of your screen the whole time. You can build in stages. You don't need to be a techie to participate in this event so please sign up if you would like to participate.TEAMSTeams of between 4 to 6 people are suggested. You may bring your own team or register as a single member and we can allocate you to a team in your time zone. It's totally up to you. We just want to make sure you have the opportunity to participate. If you do have your own team please make sure you register all participants and then select the same team name.JudgingYou will be required to create a 5 min video of the solution you create. This is very important because the judges will be making their decision based on this video. This clip will need to be either posted to YouTube (The preferred format) or be shared in the same folder as your solution upload. The judging criteria will be shared with you on the day.
