Virtual Learning Hub - Registered Managers Network
Attendees say this is an extremely useful way of keeping up to date and discussing key issues with others in a similar role to yourself.
We’re excited to invite you to the next Registered Managers Network meeting, a supportive space for managers across Dorset to connect, share insights, and stay informed. Regular attendees tell us these sessions are invaluable for keeping up to date and discussing key issues with others in similar roles. Based on feedback we continue to alternate the format of the meeting, with the next one after this on 22.04.26 taking place face to face, in Dorchester at the Corn Exchange.
This time, we’re meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams, and we’d love for you to join us!
What’s in Store:
We’ve gathered a fantastic line-up of guest speakers, bringing you fresh ideas, opportunities, and resources to support your teams and services:
- Oliver Bewley from NHS South, Central and West, Transformation Directorate will be joining us to introduce the Protected Domain Name Service (PDNS) pilot.
PDNS is a free internet safety filter designed to protect small and medium care providers by blocking harmful websites before they can cause damage, such as malware, ransomware or phishing attacks. It works in the background and stops staff accidentally accessing unsafe sites, helping to keep your systems and sensitive information secure. They will explain how the pilot works, what it offers care providers, and how you can take part.
- We're delighted to hear from Jane Murphy and Esther Muriuki who will give us an update on the REFRESH project and further opportunities for local care homes to get involved in this exciting work
- On a related topic Alice Twomey will be joining us from NHS Dorset to tell us more about some work she is embarking upon to look at nutrition and use of oral nutritional supplements across our area and further support in this area. She would value your views and experience to help inform future plans
- Also Rebecca Davies from Dorset Chamber will bring us up to date on the skills plans for Dorset and themes which have been identified as needing more focus and development in the future to support you and your teams
- Anna Knight from Dorset Care Association will provide updates on their current work, trusted assessor service and upcoming events. Visit Dorset Care Association About - Dorset Care Association
Plus:
We’ll wrap up with a confidential and open discussion, giving you space to raise key topics, ask questions, and share advice with fellow managers.
New to MS Teams? No worries – we’ll allow time at the start to sort out any tech hiccups.
Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your access link.
