About this event
Are you affected by a rare or genetic condition? Are you a member of the public interested in finding out more about genomics and health? Join us for a Virtual Genomics Café! This initiative is being run by Wales Gene Park in collaboration with Genomics Partnership Wales. September's café will feature relaxed talks including:
- An Introduction to Genomics Rhys Vaughan, Wales Gene Park
- Commercial Genetic Testing - do you really want to know? Dr Emma Yhnell, Cardiff University
- Introducing SWAN (Syndromes Without a Name) UK CYMRU Bridget Harpwood, SWAN UK CYMRU
- The 'Whose voice is it anyway?' RareQoL Project Dr Sondra Butterworth, RareQoL
The Virtual Café will be a relaxed, informal opportunity to meet others and find out about new advances in the area of genomic medicine in Wales. It will also be a chance for people to come together, be supported by others in their communities and let us know how we can better support those affected by rare or genetic conditions. The café is FREE to join via Zoom, but you will need to register via Eventbrite to receive the joining link and instructions.

A ydych wedi eich effeithio gan gyflwr prin neu enetig? Ydych chi'n aelod o'r cyhoedd sydd â diddordeb mewn cael rhagor o wybodaeth am iechyd a genomeg? Ymunwch â ni ar gyfer Caffi Genomeg Rhithwir! Parc Genynnau Cymru sy’n cynnal y fenter hon ar y cyd â Phartneriaeth Genomeg Cymru. Bydd caffi mis Medi yn cynnwys sgyrsiau anffurfiol ar:

Bydd y Caffi Rhithwyr yn gyfle hamddenol ac anffurfiol i gwrdd ag eraill a chael gwybod am ddatblygiadau newydd ym maes meddygaeth enomeg yng Nghymru. Bydd hefyd yn gyfle i bobl ddod ynghyd, cael cefnogaeth gan bobl eraill yn eu cymunedau a rhoi gwybod i ni sut gallwn ni roi cefnogaeth well i’r rhai sydd wedi’u heffeithio gan gyflyrau prin neu enetig.
