Making the Future is a major new cultural heritage project from Nerve Centre, National Museums NI, Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and Linen Hall Library, supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV programme.Making the Future will use significant objects, collections and archives as a stimulus to pose challenging questions about the past, ‘take the temperature’ of where we are at currently as a society, and create a manifesto for our future.For more information onMaking the Futureand how to get involved visit www.makingthefuture.eu

Making the Future

Design and build your own interactive space and view it using virtual reality!

Take part in this free week long programme and learn how to design and build your own 3D interactive space to view in virtual reality.You&#x27;ll learn how to capture 360 images, build your own environment and use coding to make it an interactive space. We&#x27;ll also send you a virtual reality headset in the post so you can view your creation in fully immersive VR!*You will need access to a smartphone to take part in this project. How will the programme work?- We&#x27;ll deliver you a VR headset in the post to allow you to access and view VR content- Take part in digital workshops and learn how to use dedicated apps to create 360 images- You will use cutting edge technology to develop and animate your own 3D space and view it using your virtual reality headset- An online community will be hosted on Slack where you can share your work with othersThis programme is FREE and open to young people aged 11-16 and based in Northern Ireland or border counties.Workshops take place each day from 27th - 31st July, 11am-1pm.

Making the Future and its project partners would like to share information and imagery from the programme through social media to highlight ongoing progress and to showcase the good work. This may involve sharing screenshots of online meetings and examples of the content being created. Any content shared will be credited to its creator. By signing up to this programme you consent to content being shared on social media.
