Vision Zero Safer Driving Session
A 1.5 hour safer driving session supporting the Vison Zero initiative
West Yorkshire Police are offering a 1.5 Hour Safer Driving Session in Bradford which supports the Vision Zero Initiative.
The session is designed for a mixed audience, including local residents, drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, with a focus on educating the community about key road safety measures.
This FREE 1.5 hour session will be interactive, engaging, and informative to all participants.
It will be divided into key sections addressing common road safety concerns in Bradford, and anti-social vehicle use particularly in urban and suburban areas. It will will highlight statistics, provide practical safety tips, and involve community engagement to encourage safer behaviours on the roads.
The topics covered are:
Understand Vision Zero – explain the principles of vision zero and its goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
Recognise Road Safety challenges in West Yorkshire – Identify key risks and factors contributing to road incidents in the region.
Analyse data and trends – interpret local road safety statistics and understand how Vision Zero policies aim to improve safety.
Explore solutions and strategies – Discuss infrastructure, enforcement, education and policy changes designed to reduce accidents.
Promote safer road use – describe individual and community actions that contribute to achieving Vision Zero.
This in-person event will be held at Javelin House Police Station.
Please arrive 10 -15 minutes prior to start time to allow for a prompt start. A member of the team will meet you at the front door to allow access.
