Join campaigners and the Alternative Security Review team to find out more about taking part in the Visualising Security project.

Using photography and discussion, Visualising Security allows communities and individuals across the UK to express their own priorities for security and contribute to the Alternative Security Review. A﻿t this launch event, join <a href="https://twitter.com/ameennemer" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ameen Nemer</a> (Arabian human rights activist), <a href="https://www.medact.org/people/sarah-lasoye/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sarah Lasoye</a> (Medact campaigns officer) and Aditi Gupta (Minorities in Peace and Security) as they share their images and thoughts about human security. Our safety and security matter but governments often define &#x27;security&#x27; in narrow, military terms and they don&#x27;t often ask what the people they represent feel about their security.We should all have our say in what makes us feel secure. The aim is to gather security concerns from a wide range of people in an accessible way. Images allow people who might never be asked what is important for their security to represent their own ideas.Rethinking Security will use the images as part of the Alternative Security Review, bringing people’s stories in to the spotlight as we advocate for security based on inclusion, sustainability and equality.
