Wales & the Global Defence Supply Chain: Strategy, Innovation & Export

Chambers Wales SESWM invites you to an event exploring new opportunities for Welsh SMEs across the global defence supply chain.

Major defence programmes are actively seeking new suppliers, and Welsh businesses are well placed to step into these opportunities. This second Chambers Wales SESWM defence-focused event looks at where the real opportunities sit and how Welsh SMEs can position themselves to access them.

Hosted by Chambers Wales partner NPTC Group of Colleges and delivered in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, the event offers a genuine opportunity for Welsh manufacturers, engineers and technology-led businesses to build relationships, gain practical insight and explore real commercial opportunities within the global defence supply chain.

Attendees will have the opportunity to build personal connections with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and understand how Welsh businesses can access global defence supply chains, including opportunities linked to organisations such as Navantia, Indra and Ghenova.

Defence is at the heart of the UK’s Industrial Strategy and is one of the Government’s eight priority sectors.

• A £400 million Defence Innovation Fund
• The creation of a Defence Growth Board
• A commitment to increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027

This investment is already driving new procurement, innovation and increased supply-chain demand.
