Wales & the Global Defence Supply Chain: Strategy, Innovation & Export
Chambers Wales SESWM invites you to an event exploring new opportunities for Welsh SMEs across the global defence supply chain.
This event is hosted by Chambers Wales partner NPTC Group of Collegues, and delivered in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, which represents defence powerhouses such as Navantia, Indra, and Ghenova among its members.
With Wales well placed to play a major role in the evolving global defence supply chain, defence is now one of the UK Government’s eight priority sectors, supported by rising investment, a £2.2 billion funding boost, a £400 million Defence Innovation Fund and a new Defence Growth Board. With spending set to reach 2.5 percent of GDP by 2027, there is significant opportunity for Welsh manufacturers, engineers and tech businesses.
Attendants will hear how they can potentially join the supply chain and hear insights from BCB International - Wescom Group, Nvidia, Deploy Tech Ltd and other defence-connected businesses,
Key Themes:
- The UK’s evolving defence and industrial strategy and what it means for Wales
- Spain's Defence sector and trade opportunities
- NPTC Group of Colleges adaptation to Defence requirements
- Nvidia's approach to Compliance issues
Who Should Attend:
- Current and aspiring defence suppliers
- Manufacturers, engineers, and innovators
- Businesses exploring export or diversification into defence
- Stakeholders in economic development, trade, and security
