WALKING A CAPPELLA: GLASS WORKSHOP

WALKING A CAPPELLA: GLASS WORKSHOP

The ExchangePenzance, England
Saturday, Mar 7, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm GMT
Overview

Join jeweller Sally Caslake from CREATE for a hands-on, one-day glass workshop inspired by Abigail Reynolds’ exhibition Walking A Cappella.

Bring your ideas to life with experienced jeweller Sally Caslake as you shape molten glass at the torch, inspired by the vibrant colours in Abigail Reynolds’ Walking A Cappella. In this small-group workshop, you’ll then explore shape and form informed by the exhibition using copper-foiling techniques to create your own dynamic glass pieces. The day also includes an exclusive curator’s talk on Walking A Cappella, a delicious lunch, and refreshments. All materials are provided, so you can dive straight into the creative process! Suitable for beginners.

About Sally Caslake:

Jeweller & Tutor at CREATE

Sally is a jeweller, maths teacher and keeper of geese. She began her jewellery journey in 2016 when she took up silversmithing, finding her passion for silver clay a year later. Sally also works in glass and her expertise is in creating lampwork beads. Discovering the crossover between silver clay and ceramics, she is now exploring her skills and linking her experience in education with pottery to develop the programme at CREATE CIC.
