About this event

  • 3 hours

This three hour walk takes in Sanderstead Plantation - a woodland of beech oak and sweet chestnut trees which forms the highest point in the London Borough of Croydon. The walk also visits another hill - Croham Hurst , which has a fine view across to the North Downs, and which is home to bronze age burials. Its an interestting contrast to the South London suburbs that make up much of the walk

The walk involves some steep climbs, however there will be a pub stop half way, for you to catch your breath!

The walk is 3.5 miles
