The Second St Marylebone Festival marks the 900th Anniversary of the Parish that is now St Marylebone and the 200th Anniversary of the present Parish Church.  It also marks the 30th Anniversary of the installation of our Rieger organ.  During a week of music and festivities we celebrate the rich cultural history of the church and the many personalities connected with it. Browse through the events below to see the important cultural figures of the parish, including the Brownings, Lord Nelson and Charles Dickens (and even Winnie the Pooh!) celebrated in a host of inventive events.There is something for everyone and those who attended last year’s Festival will recall the convivial welcoming atmosphere!

Through a moving selection of songs and readings, this concert commemorates the 100th anniversary of the First World War, most especially The Battle of the Somme whose centenary falls on 1st July 2016. However, the performance aims to pay tribute to those who fought on all sides of the war in Europe, not just those who fought in the allied forces. Songs by English composers such as Ivor Gurney and George Butterworth, will rub shoulders with their European counterparts, Paul Hindemith, Hans Pfitzner, Gabriel Fauré, and Giacomo Puccini. The concert also includes a new song by Philip Lancaster. Adam Sullivan, Jonathan Hyde, and Kevin Phelan are recent graduates of the Guildhall School of Music &amp; Drama, and are rising-stars in the performing arts profession.
