Warp + Weft is a collaboration between Ed - (Clothier @Hebtroco), Johnny - (Folk Musician, Festival Organiser) & Chris - (DJ & Outdoor Community Curator) who are bound by a passion for the curious. In the remote location of St James' Church on the Woodhead Pass, in Deep Pennine territory, they host a day / evening event combining: Adventure, Boggy Moorland, Folk, Drones, Electronic music, film projection, and community.
We love the wyrd and wonderful, and we know you do too.
Full Day Ticket:
A Full Day Ticket includes choice of guided walk, or a shuffle* from the festival location to the remote environs of West Yorkshire's highest point, Black Hill. The walk, or shuffle, will be very limited numbers, will be up to four hours in length across boggy, remote, inspiring and sometimes tough terrain, sometimes following paths, often not. This will be followed by a home-cooked meal together, where there will be space and time to chat and relax before the evening show.
Shuffle* (a socially paced off-road exploration, with opportunities to connect with the landscape and your fellow attendees)
Evening Show Ticket:
An Evening Show Ticket includes the evening event. Performances from Pefkin, Johnny Campbell and Haus Flute, a combination of ambient & experimental drone, original and traditional Northern English Folk song, and electronica. With lighting and projections, the limited capacity space of up to 80 people promises a unique and immersive environment in the remote listed building of St James' Church.
There will be no guaranteed indoor seating for this event, benches outside. There will be a full bar, and snacks.
18+ only.
Parking for event: HERE - No parking at St James' Church. It is an (up to 30 min) permissive woodland path from car park to reach the venue.
