Get InVOLEd: Water Vole Reintroduction on the Hogsmill River

Join us for an inspiring evening exploring the return of water voles to the Hogsmill!

Thanks to the brilliant work of the South East Rivers Trust and Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, who have created new wetland habitats at Chamber Meads and enhanced in-stream conditions along the Hogsmill, we’re now ready to reintroduce water voles to this much-loved local river.

This talk will take you through the restoration efforts which have been undertaken along the river and also reveal exciting plans for the water vole reintroduction, and share how you can play a role in bringing this charismatic species back. You’ll also discover the fascinating ecology of water voles and why their return is so important for the health of our rivers.
