The Faraday Institution

The Faraday Institution is the UKs independent research institute for electrochemical energy storage research. We are currently delivering world-class research in support of the UK government Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
We are seeking a wide range of views on the priorities for the second wave of research projects and will be holding a series of five joint industry / academia workshops to identify UK priorities for Research and infrastructure capability.

Wave 2 Research Projects – The North Workshop Agenda
10.30  Registration, coffee and networking (30 minutes)
11.00  Introduction to the Faraday Research Programme and Keynote speaker (30 minutes)
11.30  Topic: What are the most meaningful Battery and Energy Storage Research Topics for UK focusing on research needs from industry?
-- Introduction by Faraday team: how the breakouts will work (10 minutes)
-- Facilitated discussion (60 minutes)
-- Summary inside each breakout (15 minutes)
-- Feedback from the breakouts to the whole group (20 mins).
1.15 pm  Lunch networking (60 mins)
14.15  Topic: What capabilities and physical infrastructure is needed to support UK Energy storage research?
-- Introduction by Faraday team (5 minutes)
-- Facilitated discussion (60 minutes)
-- Summary (15 minutes)
-- Feedback from the breakouts to the whole group (20 mins).
16.00  Conclusion and wash up
