Join us to waymark our promoted walking route, Haslemere to Witley Rail to Ramble.

Join us to waymark our Haslemere to Witley rail to ramble route. Learn about how to report problems on our promoted routes and what to look out for. Plus, spend the day with fellow outdoor lovers and meet likeminded individuals!


Explore the scenic countryside between Haslemere and Witley on a 7-mile walk through woodland paths, open commons, and classic Surrey Hills landscapes. Starting at Haslemere Station, home to the Greensand Way and Serpent Trail, enjoy a journey through fields, woodlands, and bluebell-filled spring landscapes, finishing at Witley Station in the village of Wormley, near Chiddingfold.

What to bring/wear:

Packed lunch

Water bottle

Weather-appropriate clothing for walking in the Surrey Hills

Comfortable, sturdy footwear such as walking boots

Plenty of snacks


Location:

We will meet at Haslemere station at 10am and follow the route adding waymarkers as we go along. It is possible we will not be able to waymark the whole route in one day due to the start-stop nature of waymarking, but either way we will aim to finish at Witley station in the afternoon.


Travel:

Travel advice will be communicated to week before the event via email to those signed up.

Unfortunately, we are only able to offer this volunteering opportunity to those aged 18+.
