We Rise

Global Justice Now campaigns against injustice and inequality in the global economy. Instead of corporations and the super rich calling the shots, we want to see a world where ordinary people control the resources they need for a decent life.

Global Justice Now and London Mining Network

We face an age of massive political change. Racist nationalisms, pervasive gendered violence, environmental breakdown, corporate power and precarious jobs — the system we live in doesn’t work for the majority of us. But, however little we hear about it in the mainstream media, social movements around the world are throwing down a powerful challenge to the status quo. From the cities leading the way in real transformative change, such as Barcelona and Jackson, Mississippi, to hunger strikers in the Yarl’s Wood detention centre, people are demanding change and creating it themselves.
If you want to explore alternatives to our current system, learn the skills to fight injustice here and now and meet other like-minded young people, join us at We Rise.
We Rise is a youth event, aimed at people under 30. Most of our events are for all ages, including our <A HREF="http://www.globaljustice.org.uk/world-we-want" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">national gathering in York</A> this June.
