We are delighted to once more be holding our annual "We Will Remember Them" History lecture this year.

Our speaker this year is Philip Stevens, speaking to us on ‘Nurses, Spies and the Home Front: Women in the Great War’. Philip is not only a former soldier, himself but is also a military historian and battlefields guide. He has published ‘Great War Explained: A Simple Story and Guide’, which focuses both on the key events and on contributions of key individuals, some well, others unknown but with a story to tell. We very much look forward to a stimulating and fascinating evening on a topic less well known than it should be, namely the role women played in the Great War in all its diversity.

The event will begin at 7pm, with refreshments available from 6:30pm onwards in the Dining Hall, and should conclude around 8:30pm.
