Weaving Workshop 16 +
Join artist Sarah Garrod to weave with natural plant materials.
Leaves, plant fibres and vines will be used for simple techniques to make mats and wreath bases to take home. We can forage some materials from the garden, others will be provided.
Weaving is empowering, you can easily create solid shapes and 3D items once you have the basic skills. It is also a relaxing and mindful activity, where we can get hands-on with Nature. We will focus in on the qualities of plants that make them suitable for weaving.
The technique is sustainable, the materials are compostable.
This is part of our October run of workshops which focus on natural materials.
