Webinar: Accessing COVID-19 Data
Event Information
About this event
This webinar, hosted jointly by UKRI Medical Research Council and Health Data Research UK (HDR UK), showcases the routine health and administrative data (e.g. routine data from the NHS and Census) available to researchers interested in conducting COVID-19 research, and how researchers can apply to access this data via the Health Data Research Innovation Gateway (the 'Gateway).
The Data and Connectivity National Core Study, led by HDRUK in partnership with the Office for National Statistics (ONS), connects UK health data to support and accelerate research on COVID-19. The programme supports the five other National Core Studies established by the government to answer key research questions to support policy, by advancing data linkage and enabling streamlined access.
In partnership with the Alan Turing Institute and ONS, HDR UK are launching an open funding call this summer to support research projects that expand the research from the National Core Studies and inform the national COVID-19 responses and future pandemic preparedness. We recommend that researchers interesting in applying for that call attend this event to learn more about the data assets available.
