Presenter: Dr Aimee Blackledge, LDC Development Team

This webinar provides step-by-step guidance on how to design effective development workshops. Together, we will explore the benefits of various ‘concrete experiences’, as described in David Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle. We will learn how to:

• Define the needs of your audience
• Determine which experiences help your audience achieve transformational development
• Design an overall workshop narrative
• Establish learning objectives & outcomes
• Plan evaluation

This, along with the workshop ‘Facilitating Workshops’, is open to all, but both are prerequisites for those planning to join the Development Tutor Scheme.

You are strongly recommended to attend the webinar, ‘Webinar: Introduction to Facilitation’ prior to your attendance at this webinar. This workshop is open to all and also contributes to the programme of workshops available for those applying for the Development Tutor Scheme.

This interactive session is part of the ‘facilitation’ development theme and offers opportunities to gain skills/behaviours outlined in the following Researcher Development Framework (RDF) subdomains: D1 Working with others, D2 Communication, B1 Personal qualities, B2 Self-management, B3 Professional and career development.

Registration: This workshop is open to all PhD Researchers at the University of Liverpool and to invited Post-graduate researchers from Universities in the North West and Yorkshire Postgraduate Research Training Group.

Please use your University email to register on Eventbrite and then the calendar invitation can added to your University calendar. We reserve the right to remove registrations of attendees who do not appear to be invited members.
