<H2>Given the nature of U.K. schooling for parents, pupils and teachers during the coronavirus pandemic, I am offering online professional development for teachers to help share my knowledge of teaching and learning research - on a shoestring budget to bring in a small residue income at a difficult time for us all - to help connect the online, teaching community.</H2>

What will you learn? Teachers are curious about research but often don’t know where to start.
This 30-minute webinar/training session (plus 10 minutes question and answer) aims to meet demands and help other teachers learn more about dual coding and how you can adapt the ideas back in your place of work in terms of its theory and application in the classroom.
Why? Dual Coding: Using this method can help to improve memory and retrieval. Teachers should assume that cognitive load theory will be different in many different subjects and teaching and learning age groups. Therefore, how you deploy and use dual coding methods will vary significantly.
The impact on teaching and learning is obvious. This is particularly crucial at a time of insurmountable teacher workload and when the default mode of teaching is a never-ending juggling act. Using dual coding conscientiously in teaching enables educators to access more working memory capacity in students, thus increasing performance.
How? This webinar offers a teacher training resource which teachers can use to develop their own knowledge of dual coding to develop in theory and practice. This editable file allows users to adapt the material to lead for teacher training sessions. The resource contains a 20-page PDF and Powerpoint file..
Who? This training is perfect for experienced teachers and school leaders who wish to explore cognitive science and discover how to instil action-research approaches to teaching and learning at a classroom level.

<A HREF="https://twitter.com/rossmcgill?lang=en" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ross Morrison McGill</A> is also known as @TeacherToolkit, is the ‘most followed educator on social media in the UK’. He works with pupils, teachers and school leaders across the world, supporting teaching and learning, workload and mental health.  
A former deputy headteacher, he has been teaching for 27 years working in some of the most challenging secondary schools in London. In 2015, he was nominated as one of the <A HREF="https://www.teachertoolkit.co.uk/2015/01/25/debretts-500//" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">‘500 Most Influential People in Britain’</A> by The Sunday Times. He is currently writing his fifth book and is studying for his EdD at Cambridge University.

What do I need for the event?
You will need a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection. You do not need to download any software. If you miss the live session for whatever reason, the resources and video will still be shared with you.
How does the webinar work?
During the training, the host will share their screen, video and audio in a webinar so that attendees can use the chat or question and answer options to interact with the host and other panellists.
Attendees are view-only participants who can be unmuted if the host chooses. Their view of the webinar is controlled by the host. They can interact with the host and the panellists through the Q&A and the chat. 
Can I access the resources and video?
The host reserves the rights to hold the recording and audio footage. This will be circulated to all paid clients after the event. Note, you do not need to be a live participant to access the video and resources.

What is the refund policy?
We can refund the full ticket price if you notify us 24 hours before the start time of the event. We cannot issue any other refunds less than 24h hours as planning and resources will have already been created and distributed.
