About this event

Promoting diversity in research and innovation is a profound challenge faced by both the UK and the EU. Furthermore, a strong and shared interest in this challenge will continue with UK association to Horizon Europe. Entry, progression and success in the research and innovation sector should be open to all, and research teams that better reflect society will do better at finding solutions to the shared problems we all face.

As part of the UK G7 Presidency Campaign to Build Back Better, and Build Back Equal, this webinar will convene experts to discuss how best to promote and protect diversity in research and innovation. In particular, the discussion will examine intersectionality and diversity beyond simple gender parity to include the full range of identities and experiences of European researchers and innovators. Through sharing their knowledge, experiences and lessons learned, our distinguished speakers will present us with concrete issues and potential solutions for the UK and EU alike.
