In this webinar, Malcolm McCulloch and Eric Brown will talk about Net Zero and how we can achieve it, from an energy perspective. Helen Gavin will host the webinar.

<a href="https://eng.ox.ac.uk/people/malcolm-mcculloch" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Malcolm McCulloch</a>Malcolm is an Associate Professor in Engineering Science and Group Leader of the Energy and Power Group at the University of Oxford. He is also the Director of the Programme on Integrating Renewable Energy, and a Fellow of the Oxford Martin School.His interests in the domestic energy sector focus on the development of user-centric demand side management technologies, and useful information to enable behaviour change. In the transport sector, his research involves power trains for electric vehicles and their role in decarbonising the electricity grid. In Energy for Development, he is developing technologies that lever advanced intelligence to provide cost effective and nano and micro grid solutions that provide a scalable pathway to distributed electrification. His research work has led to many spin out companies. --<a href="https://es.catapult.org.uk/staff/eric-brown/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Eric Brown</a>Eric is the Chief Technology Officer at Energy Systems Catapult, providing expert insight and guidance on cutting-edge energy sector innovation both internally and across a range of external advisory bodies.Eric joined Innovate UK in April 2014 as Energy Systems Catapult Programme Manager. In this role he supported strategy development and planning and, in addition, led projects aimed at building early capability and presence for Energy Systems Catapult. In April 2015, when the Catapult was fully established, he became Interim Head of Strategy and Innovation. In 2016, Eric became Innovation Director and in 2019 moved to Chief Technology Officer.--<a href="https://www.eci.ox.ac.uk/people/hgavin.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Helen Gavin</a>Helen is based in the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford, working on the Programme on Integrating Renewable Energy. She is a sustainability professional, passionate about renewable energy and water resources, with expertise in a range of quantitative environmental issues. She has covered a range of roles including technical specialist, water and energy auditor, programme manager and knowledge exchange, in consultancy and in academia.
