This webinar will focus on the final stages of the writing process, to explore ways to make the editing process work effectively and to improve the clarity and fluency of your writing to help you communicate your research findings effectively. We will consider various approaches to the editing, from top level to a sentence level reviews and we will end with some ideas on how to gain constructive feedback.

We expect to cover the following topics:

  • Developing effective process in Editing

  • The essential issues to consider when reviewing the entire document

  • Improving your language to make the text more readable

  • Using language to communicate you research effectively

  • Ways to gain constructive feedback.

The session will not cover referencing or copyright for which you are recommended to view advice from the Library.

This webinar will help you develop skills in Creativity, particularly 'Argument construction', and Communication and dissemination, as outlined in the RDF subdomains A3 and D2.
