Love Brighton &amp; Hove? But hate weeds?Come along to our launch event on 17 March to volunteer as a Weed Warrior.Weed Warriors will gather and carry out weed management and vegetation control tasks to tackle unruly weeds and overgrown vegetation.Weeds on public highways, streets and other rights of way are causing access issues and damaging street surfaces. Where to meet The event will be held at the twitten that runs from the junction of Ladies Mile Road and Portfield Avenue to The Deeside and the western end of the Ladies Mile Nature Reserve. We will meet between 205 and 207 Ladies Mile Road at 10.30am.What to wear and bring alongPlease wear appropriate clothing and footwear. If you have a hi-viz vest and gloves, please bring them with you. All tools will be provided.How to get hereParking is available in Ladies Mile Road and The Deeside. The no 52 bus service will take you to Ladies Mile Road and the no 5 and 5A will take you to nearby Mackie Ave. The activity will not take place and will be cancelled if there is heavy rain or other extreme weather.
