This Month's Schedule:

Wednesday 3rd April - Join David for a tour of the keyboard galleries and learn all about the journey from Harpsichord to Piano.

Tuesday 2nd April - Join Claire for a tour of the keyboard galleries and learn about some of our oldest keyed instruments.

Friday 19th April - Unfortunately, this tour has been cancelled due to illness.

Saturday 27th April - Join Jim for a tour of the Wolfson Gallery and learn all about how some of the most well-known musical instruments evolved over time.

What to Expect

Whilst the topics of our weekly talks vary, you can expect pretty much the same structure for each one. You will arrive at the reception where someone will greet you and let you know where the tour group is meeting (usually by reception). At 2pm the tour guide will come down and take your group to the galleries where the tour will begin. You are welcome to stay after the tour and take a look around the rest of the museum at your own pace until we close at 4.30pm.

St Cecilia's Hall is the home of The University of Edinburgh's collection of musical instruments. We work in partnership to deliver the services that bring our collections to the university community and the wider public.  We host a range of events throughout the year based around our collections offering the opportunity to engage with our work.
