Overview

Come & celebrate the New Year & help make space for the flora to thrive @ this SSSI nr West Wycombe. Will get a warming fire going too!

Lead Ranger: Jack Derrick: 07778 811 925

Transport & Address:

We will be working at Buttlers Hangings Nature Reserve. Please park carefully and considerately on Chorley Road and then walk through the fields as below.

It is a short walk through the fields to the nature reserve as detailed in the Eventbrite Picture.

You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!

The Task:

We will set up a warming fire we continue to cut down and tree pop scrubby trees and bushes turning this special chalk grassland habitat into secondary woodland.

What to Bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long sleeves and trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. The slope we are working on is steep, so boots with good grip and ankle support adviseable and a good level of mobility for this session. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!

We are going to be bringing a tea kit and biscuits.

Hand washing facilities will be available.

Volunteering and COVID-19:

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything further.
