Where does my donation go?

All the money from this event will go to the Signet Library, a charitable institution which houses a number of important archival collections covering Scotland's law, history, genealogy, geography, literature, and art.

Once I've bought a ticket, how do I access the event?

You will receive a Zoom link and instructions via email approximately 48 hours before the lecture. Alternatively, fifteen minutes before start time on the day, you will also be able to access the talk directly through this webpage. We will go live at around 6.15pm (GMT) on 30th January.

Is there an age limit for this event?

The talk is suitable for all ages.

What can you tell me about the speaker?

Dr Pirrie is a Visiting Fellow of King’s College London. He specialises in the historical development of Scottish and British national identities under the Hanoverian monarchs.
