Wellbeing Sessions for Money Guidance Practitioners

By Money Guiders Wales Network
Online event

Overview

Money guidance work is demanding. Join friendly online wellbeing sessions to share experiences, reduce stress and build resilience.

Money guidance work can be emotionally, mentally, and physically demanding. The impact of these inherent challenges on our wellbeing can be costly, not only to us as individuals, but to our teams and organisations too. Self-care and wellbeing are no longer self-indulgent luxuries; they are essential practices for preventing burnout and sustaining effective money guidance work.

These hour-long online sessions provide a supportive space to reflect, learn, and build practical wellbeing skills while working in money guidance roles.

Who is this session for?

  • Money guidance practitioners in the third, community, and public benefit sectors–if you’re a volunteer or member of staff and talk to people about money in your role, this session is for people like you!
  • Anyone supporting others with money-related conversations working directly with customers or in a role that shapes service delivery such as health and social care, domestic abuse services, financial wellbeing, community roles, education, safeguarding, housing, and other frontline or advisory positions.
  • This might be particularly helpful if your work impacts you emotionally, physically or mentally or you value connecting with others who understand the realities of money guidance work.

What to expect

  • One-hour standalone online sessions – attend as many or as few as you find helpful
  • A friendly, relaxed, and informal facilitation style
  • Opportunities for talking and listening in a supportive group
  • Reflective journaling
  • Practical stress-management and mindfulness-based tools
  • Space to explore both the joys and challenges of money guidance work

Each session focuses on a specific aspect of wellbeing.
