Overview

Learn evidence-based strategies to prevent burnout, improve wellbeing, and sustainably integrate them into your week.

Overview
Learn evidence-based strategies to recognise, prevent, and recover from burnout, support your wellbeing, and sustainably integrate healthier habits into your week.

Community Corner is a service run by the NHS aiming to combat social isolation and help people to live well in their communities. Every Thursday at Violet Melchett we run activities to promote health and wellbeing.

This week we welcome psychological wellbeing practitioners from Community Living Well to run a workshop focused on understanding and avoiding burnout. The session will explore how burnout develops, common signs and symptoms, and practical tools to help protect your mental and emotional energy. There will also be hot drinks and refreshments!

This workshop covers what burnout is, how stress and overwhelm affect the mind and body, and what can happen when we don’t have adequate rest or boundaries. It introduces several practical techniques to help manage stress and prevent burnout, including:

· The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique
· Box breathing
· Progressive muscle relaxation
· Visualisation and mental reset techniques

Please note we require attendees to complete a short form prior to starting the workshop, consisting of basic personal information and a brief mood assessment. This information is confidential and is not shared with any external parties. We can also provide this form in other languages if we are aware before the session.

Community Living Well is a community mental health service for Kensington & Chelsea, Queen’s Park and Paddington. To find out more visit https://communitylivingwell.co.uk/
