Your organisation is invited to book onto the West Cumbria Volunteering Fair organised by Cumbria CVS in partnership with Sellafield as part of Volunteers’ Week 2024. Set up will begin from 11.30am and each organisation will be offered a table and chairs to promote their organisation and volunteering opportunities.

This event aims to attract the general public and Sellafield Employees to come along and to meet local groups, charities or organisations to find out about local volunteering opportunities and how individuals interested in volunteering can register and become a volunteer.

By attending the event the general public will find out more about which organisations are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer.

We kindly ask that each organisation that attends brings displays, posters, leaflets, information about their organisation, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. We ask organisations to attend for the full event and to talk to any individuals about:

*What your organisation does

*Volunteering opportunities available

*Time commitment and when and where volunteers are needed

*How volunteers can register to become a volunteer

Places will be confirmed after the closing date of 23 April 2024. Please book early so this will allow time for publicity and posters to be produced for the event.

This event is funded through Bedrock as Cumbria CVS is a delivery partner in the Transforming West Cumbria programme. This programme, which is funded by Sellafield Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and managed by Cumbria Community Foundation, is taking on West Cumbria’s most entrenched social and economic problems and aims to put local people in charge of their own futures by empowering neighbourhoods to create transformational change.
