West Midlands MiP Event

West Midlands MiP Event

Overview

This event is run by MiPs to provide you with support, guidance and networking as a fellow Member in Practice.

If you are a Member In Practice or just thinking about it, this is the event for you.

Come and meet other local members in practice from the West Midlands, hear each others stories and share your own, we have a couple of speakers lined up so come along, grab a bap and a cuppa and meet some more locals.

Here's an outline on some of the topics we'll be covering:

A Year in the Life of a “Newish” MiP
One of our members is lifting the lid on their first year in practice: the highs, the challenges, the unexpected wins, and what they wish they’d known sooner. Perfect for anyone starting out or considering taking the leap.

Making Finance Land: Why Being Right Is No Longer Enough
Our guest MiP speaker will explore the power of communication in our profession. How do you make complex finance resonate? How do you get clients to care and take action? Expect practical examples, lightbulb moments, and tools you can use the same day.

Member Hot Seat: Ask the Room Anything
A newer MiP will take the hot seat and put their real questions to the group. This is gold for anyone new (or soon-to-be) in practice, and a great opportunity for the rest of us to share experience, shortcuts, and reassurance. It’s open, supportive, and hugely valuable every time we run it.

Plus Much More to Come…
We’re building even more practical, inspiring sessions for you, designed around the real challenges MiPs face and the skills that make us better, more confident practitioners.

And of Course… the Networking
Our events are known for being friendly, honest, and genuinely useful. Grab breakfast, connect with other MiPs, share ideas, and leave with new contacts (and probably a few new tricks to try out back at the office).

It’s an informal in-person event where you can pick up tips from experienced MiPs and ask questions about going solo. Share your experience and knowledge with like-minded peers, and make useful business connections.

Registration will start from 9am, with the session starting at 9.30am.

Please note that breakfast and refreshments will be provided on arrival.

If you have any questions in advance of the event, please email mip.events@aicpa-cima.com
