Join us to discover whales, dolphins, porpoises and find out about the wondrous creatures in our local seas! We invite you to a bespoke session led by our friendly and informative team who will share local expertise, fun facts, and be your guide to whale watching on Mull.
At this interactive talk in our Hebridean Whale Centre in Tobermory you will get an exclusive introduction to Scottish whales and dolphins, as well as find out more about the marine conservation efforts of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust.
Put species in the spotlight and learn how to spot and identify whales, dolphins and porpoises in the wild. We will take a closer look at these wondrous creatures, and offer practical advice on how to identify which species you have spotted, and some top local tips for going whale watching here on Mull. We will also provide an introduction to Whale Track, our community of citizen scientists, so that you can become a citizen scientist yourself and help us monitor our seas!
This session is suitable for all ages, however under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. As this is a bespoke event we will tailor your session to the ages, interests and prior knowledge of your group. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific interests or questions.
We want our events to be accessible to everyone so we are asking you to pay what you can. Your donation will support the charitable work of HWDT, thank you.
Please note while there is no minimum number of attendees, we are limited to groups of ten at a maximum. This is due to the size of our exhibition room. Thank you for your support and understanding on this.
