About this event

  • 1 hour

Nicky Chance-Thompson joined the Piece Hall Trust as the Chief Executive in 2017. Since re-opening in 2017, the Piece Hall has gone from strength to strength.

It has lived up to its promise to be the key driver in the wider economic regeneration of Halifax and Calderdale and for every £1 spent on running The Piece Hall it generates a return around £7.20 to the local economy. It has now welcomed more than 13 million visitors and has raised confidence and business activity in the town.

Nicky will tell the story of how they have realised the public investment and become the UK’s best live gig outdoor venue, and will suggest how Dewsbury can best benefit from pubic investment into The Arcade, the Market and the public realm.
