The Stirling Photography Festival is an inclusive celebration of community. Our mission is to develop skills, create opportunities, and build community through events, workshops, and exhibitions. Partnering with some of photography’s newest and finest talent from across the World, our aim is to connect our community through photography. Since we were established in 2018, we are delighted to have had the support of local businesses and Stirling’s creative and cultural organisations. Partnerships with Scotland's leading centres for photography, including Street Level Photoworks and Stills, strengthen our professional network and assist us in bringing leading artists to Stirling.

This is the 6th year of the Stirling Photography Festival and we are delighted to be working with leading artists and organisations to deliver an exciting programme of talks, workshops and exhibitions.

In a walk lead by local historian, Andy McEwan, prepare to see what might have been in the growth and development of the ancient city of Stirling. What were the major events and decisions that have shaped Scotland's ancient capital and made the city we see today?These events are a favourite with photographers, as Andy points out the hidden and less well known corners of the city. With his deep historical knowledge and gift for storytelling , Andy's walks are fun and educational.Starting at the top of the town and the medieval Cowane's Hospital, expect a moderate walk as we pass the Church of the Holy Rude and meander through the old town, finishing in the city centre. You will have plenty of time to dwell and photograph along the way.About Andy" I am Stirling born and bred. A keen historian, I am Chair of the <a href="https://www.stirlingwalkingthemarches.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Stirling Walking of the Marches</a> and Deacon of the I<a href="https://stirlingincorporatedtrades.org/incorporation-of-hammermen/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ncorporation of Hammermen</a>, one of the seven incorporated trades of Stirling. Also I am a <a href="https://guildryofstirling.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Guildry</a> member and a Trustee of <a href="https://www.stirlingcityheritagetrust.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Stirling City Heritage Trust</a>. "
