What is English Food?

England is still in love with fish and chips even though good old British cod is caught in foreign seas via foreign boats. Curry is another national favourite. But is it English? Sourdough has taken over our bakeries and kitchens and it appears to be thoroughly traditional, but is it? And who gets to decide what is or isn't English food anyway?
