Tinder Foundation and the Information Literacy Group of CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) have joined together to host this free event, designed exclusively to benefit individuals working in the library sector who are involved in the field of digital inclusion and would like to discuss its ever-increasing role in digital literacy.
Designed mainly for, but not limited to, those working in public libraries, the aim of the day is to provide a fun and relaxed opportunity to meet others and share ideas and advice with like-minded colleagues. There will be several topic-based informal learning opportunities around the venue, where those with valuable information will be able to share with their group. This will be combined with the opportunity to meet others and ask any questions that you might have regarding the topic at hand.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The event agenda is as follows:
10:30 - 11:00 Registration
11:00 - 11:15 - Welcome from Jane Secker (CILIP)
11:15 - 12:30 - Informal peer-led learning opportunities
12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch & networking
13:30 - 14:45 - Informal peer-led learning opportunities
14:45 - 15:15 - Final comments
